Cartridge Filters

There are a wide variety and several sizes of cartridge filters to correct different problems such as sediments, sand, chlorine, taste, and odors in water. They are less expensive to purchase than automatic filters, however, cartridge filters require more maintenance, and replacing the cartridges can sometimes be costly.

Here are the main applications of cartridge filters:

• For fine sediment control (0.5 to 50 micron cartridge)
• For point-of-use applications such as at the kitchen sink
• For the protection of specialized equipment (e.g., humidifiers, industrial equipment, and others)
• For filtering small quantities of water (industrial processes and others)
