Who are we

Experteau is a group of experienced professional teams composed of: Puits Deux-Montagnes, Pompes et Filtration Mirabel, Puits 4 Saisons, Puits Ste-Agathe, Puits Lajeunesse.
Puits Deux-Montagnes is a family business in Mirabel founded in 1979. Its main expertise, artesian wells, has led the Quebec company to drill more than 10 000 wells in the Laurentians.
It is notably thanks to the know-how of its fifty specialized and passionate employees that Puits Deux-Montagnes has built such a good reputation with its customers.
Since 1997, the company also includes a division focused on drinking water management, Pompes et Filtration Mirabel. In addition, Puits Deux-Montagnes has two modern units for drilling artesian and geothermal wells, four mobile laboratories for water analysis, and two counters for various parts to obtain equipment and expert advice.
Experteau is proud to support the Pallia-Vie Foundation
As a donor to the Pallia-Vie Foundation, Experteau helps maintain the free access and quality of these essential services. This contribution directly supports families in the Laurentians region, in Saint-Jérôme, where Maison Pallia-Vie is located. Donations also support the development of the very first specialized palliative care day centre in the Laurentians. This innovative project will provide even more support and respite for patients and their loved ones.

A history of trust
1979
Les Puits Deux-Montagnes was founded by Lise and Michel Lafrance
Lise and Michel Lafrance, already experienced in artesian well drilling, began their journey with the purchase of their first drill rig, a Schramm TH-64 (1978)
1983
Lise and Michel Lafrance acquire a new drilling rig
Eight months later, Lise and Michel Lafrance acquire a new drilling rig, an Ingersoll-Rand Cyclone T-60.
1985
More than 75 pumping units will be installed in less than six months!
In July 1985, the company took a major step forward by consolidating its operations by setting up a sales counter and establishing a pump installation service. Resulting in the installation of over 75 pumping systems in less than six months! That same year, the construction of a new facility on Montée Robillard in Mirabel allowed for the centralization of Puits Deux-Montagnes’ operations. Hence, allowing the company to streamline its activities: (mechanical maintenance of drilling rigs, preparation of pumping equipment, storage and distribution of parts and components, and others).
1987
Under the Puits Deux-Montagnes banner
The facility is expanded and a new service truck is added under the Puits Deux-Montagnes banner to meet a growing demand for water pump installations and repairs.
1989
Its first new drilling rig
Puits Deux-Montagnes acquires its first new drilling rig, an Ingersoll-Rand T3-W.
1992
The arrival of Sébastien
The succession of Puits Deux-Montagnes was secured with the arrival of Sébastien Lafrance, son of founders Lise and Michel Lafrance. That same year, the building was expanded for a fourth time, allowing for a total area of 5,000 square feet.
1997
Creation of Pompes et Filtration Mirabel
Creation of Pompes et Filtration Mirabel: the Lafrance family now has a complete range of services in drinking water management. This new division allows for the development of water treatment sectors as well as the installation and repair of commercial and industrial water pumps.
2001
A new building on Route Arthur-Sauvé
Construction of a new building on Route Arthur-Sauvé. More than 14,000 square feet available. Development of a large showroom to offer everything necessary for water management.
The purchase of a new 2001 Ingersoll-Rand T3-W drilling rig and a second service truck for pumps and water treatment. The Lafrance family also proceeds with the acquisition of Pur-O Traitement, a company specializing in the water treatment sector and Kinetico products.
2003
New acquisitions
3200 square feet expansion.
With the companies constantly growing, Puits Deux-Montagnes and Pompes et Filtration Mirabel added more than 3,200 square feet to their building, featuring a state-of-the-art pump testing bench and a secondary assembly workshop.
Still under the direction of Sébastien Lafrance (the founders son), Puits Deux-Montagnes and Pompes et Filtration Mirabel continues to grow to better serve an ever-increasing clientele.
2014
Launch of Experteau
The group launches its own brand of water treatment products. Designed according to the highest market standards, Experteau equipment is entirely manufactured in the United States. The product line allows, among other things, to treat iron and sulfur problems without the use of chemicals and to recover brine from water softeners. Experteau systems are now distributed throughout Quebec and Ontario.
2016
Acquisition of three new companies
Companies still under development, Puits Deux-Montagnes and Pompes et Filtration Mirabel acquire three companies in the field of well drilling, pumping systems, and water treatment.
This transaction makes the Group the largest service provider in the Laurentians.
2017
A team
With 2 drilling teams, 8 service teams for the installation and repair of pumps and water treatment systems, as well as 2 business locations, the Puits Deux-Montagnes team is able to provide fast, high-quality service to its customers.
2020
A year like no other
Despite the challenges of the pandemic, we stayed open and redoubled our efforts to serve our customers. During this time, we successfully completed several major projects, such as installations for vegetable producers in greenhouses and factories.
2022
A business in constant evolution
Constantly evolving, our team now includes over 40 passionate employees serving our residential, agricultural, and commercial clients. With a new IT system in place, we’ve boosted efficiency to deliver even better service.
2026
